At Trends Rugs, we're more than just a rug store — we’re a family-run business with a story woven into every fibre of what we do.

Founded in November 2000, our journey began with a simple but powerful vision. After years of working in the rug industry, our founder Tino felt a deep calling to create something better — a place where genuine service, expert advice, and beautiful rugs came together under one roof. But with limited resources and plenty of ambition, the dream started humbly: a small stall at Melbourne’s iconic Queen Victoria Market.

Those early mornings — 3am starts, long days, and tireless work — were made possible by the support of Tino’s wife, family, and close friends. That hard work paid off. The little market stall quickly grew in popularity, and soon the first retail store opened in Sunbury, followed by two more locations across Melbourne.

Over time, we’ve learned that quality service and genuine care matter most. That’s why we've chosen to focus all our energy on our Mill Park store and our growing online community, so we can give every customer our full attention and share our collective 45+ years of experience in rugs, flooring, and interior styling.
